Accessibility Statement
What web accessibility is
SpeakWell Speech and Language Therapy is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability, technology, or environment. We work to ensure that our website is easy to use and inclusive for all visitors.
Accessibility adjustments on this site
We aim for our website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA standard. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with a wide range of needs, including those who use assistive technologies.
What we have done
We are continually improving the user experience for everyone. Steps we have taken include:
– Using clear headings, structure, and consistent navigation
– Ensuring text has sufficient contrast for readability
– Adding alternative text to images where appropriate
– Ensuring all buttons and links are labelled clearly
– Ensuring the site is usable on screen readers and keyboard navigation
Where we are improving
We know that some parts of the website may not be fully accessible yet. For example:
– Some images or decorative elements may not yet have full alternative text
– Some PDF documents may not be fully accessible to screen readers
– Certain interactive elements may not yet work perfectly with keyboard-only navigation
We are working to address these issues as part of ongoing site updates.
